AMENITIES AND THINGS TO DO
LE CHAT CHOCOLAT can be what you want it to be: a quiet haven and a relaxing environment, where you can unwind, chill out and recharge your batteries; or it can be a place of entertainment for you; or a base from which to explore and enjoy the region.
Some guests will simply wish to absorb the tranquil surroundings, rest in the privacy of their own elegant room(s), explore the grounds (4 acres) at leisure, and enjoy the facilities of their choice - soaking up the sun in summer on the patio or lawns, cooling off in the spash pool on those really hot days, lounging by the wood-burning stove at cooler times of the year, borrowing a book or video from our extensive libraries, or having an excellent meal at Le Chat Chocolat without the need to go out looking for a restaurant.
Although we encourage our guests to eat together en famille in the dining room (or al fresco on the patio in good weather), we can perhaps offer a more intimate setting in the enclosed veranda for those wishing to be private and peaceful, at a separate table.
For those who prefer to be more sociable, we would hope to provide lively and stimulating company at the dinner table. We are more than willing to have our brains picked and to pass on our experience re house-hunting and moving to France, for those of our guests who are contemplating a similar adventure.
And for those who like to be more energetic, we can offer a range of games and activities. We currently have a quarter-size snooker / pool table, a game of quoits, a set of boules, playing cards, undercover outdoor table tennis (ping pong), a practice basketball basket, badminton, a splash pool, and numerous board games, such as Scrabble, chess, draughts, Boggle, Risk, Therapy, Who's Had Who, Monopoly, etc.
For any group wishing to book all four guest rooms at Le Chat Chocolat and wanting to have organised entertainment, ask us about a Murder Mystery Evening, or a Gala Dinner with cabaret, or a karaoke night, quiz / competition nights, etc.
We will, of course, supply all our guests with lots of information about the local area (with maps), leisure activities, shopping, day membership at Club Med's Thermal Spa centre, etc.
We will do everything we can to ensure you have a wonderful and memorable visit to Le Chat Chocolat.
