LE CHAT CHOCOLAT offers you dishes from all regions of France (naturally including Normandy), and from around the globe, especially Oriental and Asian cuisines.

LE CHAT CHOCOLAT offers the typically-French, traditional table d'hôtes dining experience (i.e. no â la carte menu), where meals are normally served only to house guests, en famille. Mel & Nikki, your host and hostess, will also dine with the guests, most evenings. The intention is to create an unpretentious, friendly, relaxed and informal dinner party atmosphere. Cooking standards at LE CHAT CHOCOLAT are high, using wherever possible fresh local ingredients. Meals are tasty and plentiful, with the emphasis on genuine regional peasant gastronomy rather than over-elaborate haute cuisine or mini-portioned cuisine nouvelle!

Meals will normally consist of 3 courses, although occasionally an extravagant, multi-course gala dinner is offered with a cabaret performance from Nikki, singing mostly in English or occasionally in French or Italian. For honeymoons, anniversaries and other celebrations, you may, by prior arrangement, choose part of the programme of music from Nikki’s extensive repertoire.

Dinner cannot usually be arranged last minute, and should be ordered at least 24 hours in advance - (although sometimes it might be possible early in the morning to book a meal for the same evening) - when we will tell you the menu of the day. It is especially important to book in advance if you wish to dine at LE CHAT CHOCOLAT on the evening of your arrival. Please advise us well in advance if you have any particular dislikes or dietary restrictions - and we will try to accommodate these. The essence of table d'hôtes is to enjoy personal hospitality and the cooking of the house on any particular evening! Even so, we may be able to accommodate special requests, given enough notice.

Dinner may sometimes be served as a barbecue meal or in a buffet format.
